Beijing (29 March 2019) – TH Capital hosted the delegation of the German Private Equity Association in our Beijing office today. During the forum held with a perfect view over springtime Beijing, the leaders of some of Germany´s most prestigious GPs discussed the state of Private Equity in China with the international team from TH Capital. During the insightful exchange, the group discussed the past development and current state of Private Equity in China. There was a strong consensus among the participants that a deeper cooperation between European investment funds and their Chinese counterparts offers tremendous potential for value creation. Especially Small & Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in both regions would benefit greatly from close collaborations between experienced investors, as they are the key to unlock the benefits of the European and Chinese markets.

Once a year the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association organizes a roadshow for their members to visit Limited Partners, associated Fund Managers and other institutions in Asia. After stops in Singapore and Tokio the delegation arrived at their last station in Beijing, the home of the association´s first Chinese member firm TH Capital, yesterday. The German ambassador to China, Dr. Clemens von Goetze, opened the program in China´s capital by hosting an official reception in his private residency. The exclusive event was joined by the German fund managers as well as more than 30 fund investors from Beijing, eager to explore international opportunities for their organizations. TH Capital has been member of the German Private Equity Association and very engaged in Sino-European opportunities for many years already.
